The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable, though dining options within walking distance are limited, so a car is essential. It’s right beside the Canal du Midi and about a 1km walk from Bram, and makes a great base for exploring the areas around Carcassone. We spent a really relaxing two-week holiday in one of the cottages on the grounds. Carole and her husband Alain were attentive and took care of every request. The grounds are gorgeous and available to cottage guests. The pool was a little chilly at first, at 24c, but Carole kept it spotless. Before arriving, we knew little about Cathar history, but some nearby castles are spectacular, and there are lots of lovely french villages around. Thanks, Carole and Alain, for a wonderful holiday.

The owner greeted us warmly and was attentive throughout. We stayed one night while cycling in the south of France, and the cottage was charming, comfortable, and well equipped. The building sits beside the Canal du Midi, with a lovely garden and a large, very pleasant pool, just right for unwinding after a day on the bike. A great stop for a night or longer, highly recommended.
