La Farga

The hosts were really friendly, and we enjoyed our stay in the downstairs room. It worked well for our family of four, and we could use the lovely pool. The outside of the place was poorly kept and didn't feel like what you'd expect from a hotel. It's not for anyone after luxury or hospital-level cleanliness.

We don't usually post opinions or put places down, but feel we should warn others. We spent the night wondering what might crawl onto us in bed, and what horror film the experience resembled. Ask us for the details if you really want them. We chose to leave without breakfast rather than risk our health any further. The next night we paid the same price at another bed and breakfast and felt our expectations were entirely reasonable. Avoid this place, without doubt.

Carennac is a very pretty village, with plenty to see nearby, including Pancrace and Rocamadour. Our room was quite large, but the house is getting old and isn't well maintained. The lock was worn, so using our room key was a real struggle.

Our family of four spent one night here, and the garden-level room suited the season perfectly. We all slept really well and felt at home. The host was so friendly, and breakfast was generous and delicious. Thanks so much! We'll stay at La Farga again on our next trip.
