Camping naturist Castillon de Provence

First impression: fantastic. The welcome was friendly, the accommodation was clean, and there are plenty of facilities. The pool looks lovely, and the AstroTurf around it is nice to walk on in the sun. Getting there is the tricky part. The last 4 km are very tight, even in a car, and you’ll need to be VERY confident towing if you’re bringing a caravan. I’ll share more after we’ve been here a week.

It felt like a little paradise, with a peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views, and a bright sky full of stars at night. The private beach by the lake is magnificent, about a 20-minute walk away. There’s so much space and nature that it feels like camping in the wild. Easily the most beautiful campsite we’ve ever visited. The showers were spotless and perfectly hot. We’re definitely coming back.

The pool looked clean and inviting, though I didn’t try the restaurant, so I can’t comment on it. The toilets, showers, and dishwashing area were clean, with lovely views of the lake and mountains. There are lots of houses set in beautiful scenery, as well as large pitches for campervans and tents. It’s a beautiful naturist campsite, with a private naturist beach and free sunbeds after a 20-minute walk to the lake in the Verdon Gorge. Canoes are free to use with a €20 deposit.

The receptionist was incredibly efficient and helpful. The campsite itself is beautiful, remote, and divine, and cleanliness is up to par. I would have liked toilet paper and seats to be available in the toilets. Part of the site is set aside for activities and services, but there are still spots where you can camp without being disturbed by the noise.
