Le Domaine de la Vallée

The wooded grounds are spacious and enclosed, so they worked well for kids and adults alike when we came for a wedding. There are two rooms, including a great one for children with a big table, a TV, and other things. The reception hall looks lovely, though it gets pretty noisy. We didn't stay the night, so I can't say anything about the hotel itself.

We had a really warm welcome, and the rooms were clean with tasteful decor. It was very quiet at night because of where the place is. Breakfast was generous and nice to have in the veranda, surrounded by greenery. A peaceful place that makes it easy to unwind.

Breakfast in the glass-roofed room came with a lovely view over the park. The room itself was spacious and the bed comfortable. Domaine de la Vallée is only a few minutes from Rennes city center, yet the wooded park makes it feel calm and secluded.

The rooms, living and dining room, and grounds are beautiful and well kept. It's a shame the staff showed so little civility. I can't recommend this place, and I feel sorry for the people working there. We were two young engaged couples hoping to sleep peacefully the night before our wedding. Instead, a birthday party on the property made for a very noisy night, and we couldn't sleep until the early hours. The owner was aggressive, and nobody tried to make things right the next morning. We would have changed our plans if we'd known there was a party and that we'd get no rest. The next day, during a quick photo session beside the hotel, an employee, possibly the owner's son, was verbally and almost physically aggressive. A lovely start to a celebration day, just hours before the religious ceremony. Simply unacceptable. I've worked in hotels, and my main concern was always that guests were happy with the service and left smiling. I don't understand behavior this offensive, especially toward a couple who were undemanding and not aggressive at all.
