Hotel Beau Site

We didn’t stay overnight, but this place is well worth visiting for a meal. It overlooks the lake from up on the hill, so the view is perfect. We sat on the terrace and had some beautiful food. My poached egg on bread with mushrooms came with a divine sauce. I love French sauces, and this one didn’t disappoint. The fish that followed was soft and perfectly cooked, with potatoes and vegetables, all richly finished with butter and olive oil. It was so sumptuous I wanted to eat it forever. Dessert was a delicious, very wobbly panna cotta with seasonal fruit. A nice Chardonnay went perfectly with everything. I loved every moment of the meal. My companion enjoyed his dishes just as much. The bread was nice, the water was cold and fresh, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d recommend this restaurant and would certainly come back.
