ibis budget Chambourcy Saint-Germain

Waking up to a smashed car window isn't worth the risk. Theft from parked cars is common here, and the hotel responds with a big disclaimer sign. Don't stay here.

We couldn't wait to get out of this awful place. I've stayed at two other budget IBIS hotels and they were fine, but this was the most horrendous hotel I've ever stayed in. Our ground-floor room smelled so strongly of cigarettes that our clothes and bags reeked after just one night. The dingy mint-green room had mould in places, and shower water leaked all over the floor. There were mosquitoes everywhere, and we're both covered in bites. I even got one on my forehead, which has never happened to me before. Other reviews mention the same issue, and I didn't expect it in October. It was so hard to sleep because whenever we started drifting off, we heard buzzing around our heads.

The bed already smelled bad before I got in, and the place seemed completely unmaintained. I was bitten all over, presumably by bed bugs. Don't stay here.

The breakfast is continental. Some eggs would improve it, like at most places, but otherwise it's what it is. The hotel sits in a bit of a shopping area and shares a car park with a big store. The rooms were adequate and the beds comfortable.
