We had a peaceful, comfortable stay and found the location perfect for exploring the region. The owner was warm, available and attentive to what we needed. I highly recommend it.

4/10
The location was pleasant, but the bedding was poor quality and the kitchen had very little equipment, much of it worn. I don't have fond memories of our stay, and there was no direct access to the river.

The location is excellent, and the house is very beautiful, but the service fell short. The bed creaked so badly that we ended up sleeping on the mattress on the floor. A service we requested, putting a bottle and two cherry tomatoes in a refrigerator, wasn't provided. We were also asked to leave before check-out time, then harshly criticized over a stain on the bedspread. It's a shame.

We really enjoyed the authentic French feel, with rustic decor and a personal touch. The hostess was extremely friendly, and we had a nice drink in the garden. There’s access to the Charente and its sun meadows right beside the house, and we were allowed to park in the courtyard. We returned to the estate several times.
