I felt comfortable exploring the area alone: it's safe, easy to find, and about a five-minute walk from Charbonnieres-Les-Bains train station. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room had what I needed. It was so quiet at night you could hear a pin drop. I did wish there'd been a small manicure kit with a cotton pad for taking off makeup, since I'd forgotten mine. Yes, I'd come back.

Dining outdoors here is great. We stop by the restaurant whenever we're in town, and the friendly staff are especially welcoming to our dog. There's a wide-ranging menu and the portions are generous.

The restaurant was passable, but there wasn't much choice. The facilities felt very old, with dim lighting, a bedside lamp that didn't work, cobwebs on the ceiling, and a toilet that kept flooding all night. The curtains hung down to the floor. Staff didn't seem very attentive.

Parking gets tight when it's busy, since the car park only fits five vehicles. There was no air conditioning, and the bedsheets had a slight body odour. Staff were neither rude nor friendly, just neutral. Breakfast was a joke: bread, butter, and coffee for €11. I won't be back.
