ibis budget Chartres

The room worked perfectly for a short stay, and the location was great. The reception staff gave us a lovely Bienvenue when we arrived. I'd stay again.

The reception team really went out of their way to help us, which was a big plus. The staff were polite and helpful, and the location was good. Our room looked a bit shabby, but it was comfortable enough for what we needed. It felt more like a workers' hotel than a place aimed at tourists.

This ibis was pretty average. It would've scored higher if it hadn't been for the woman shouting. Good night. The picture on my review isn't connected to the hotel. I'm just keeping it here because my phone is low on storage.

We arrived at 23.30, and for a cheap hotel this was one of the better options. We weren't expecting anything amazing, and the room was simple. The sheets and towels were clean; the used-looking furniture and bathroom were relatively clean too. The shower took some care because the cubicle was small and the curtain short, but we managed without making a mess. There was a loose light under a railing. I would've preferred a dark room, but that little bit of light kept me from bumping my head on the bunk stairs. We skipped the very basic breakfast, which didn't seem worth it, though I bought a coffee at reception and took it upstairs. For a budget hotel, it was fine.
