Villa Gabriel Maison Blanche Chartres

A lovely, spacious house with excellent bathrooms and rooms that are really well furnished.

The breakfast was very good, though the fruit was a letdown for the price. The fruit salad and kiwis weren’t good; Gold kiwis are often better. Prices overall felt very reasonable for the quality and services. The guesthouse is part of the 4-star Hotel Le Grand Monarque, a well-known institution in Chartres, which adds to the experience. We stayed in the Oasis room, which was spacious, impeccably clean, and had high-quality bedding. The house itself is a peaceful retreat, ideally placed for exploring Chartres. We were welcomed by Garance, and appreciated her professionalism and the traditional French hospitality. The decor is elegant and tastefully done, blending old-world charm with a little modernity, just as shown in the website photos. We only stayed one night at La Maison Blanche Chartres and wished it could have been longer. It’s a magical place, and we loved our stay. One small issue: the Wi-Fi code didn’t work, and I saw that another review mentioned the same problem eleven months earlier. We’d recommend the guesthouse without hesitation.

The house is wonderful and very quiet, with a fully equipped kitchen. I stayed in the Oasis room on the second floor, which has no elevator. The memory foam mattress was incredibly comfortable. Highly recommended.

We booked the Maison Blanche exclusively for a birthday celebration and had a wonderful stay. It’s right next to the town center but still peaceful. The house feels warm and is tastefully decorated, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. I’d gladly come back.
