La Sommellerie

Dinner and breakfast were both included in our deal, and we enjoyed both. It also came with a visit to the Brotte wine museum, which is a must in Chateauneuf des Papes. The staff were so friendly and supportive, and really wanted to give us the best service. We had a very good experience at the hotel.

Silvie and Camille, the hosts and owners, were the best part of our stay. They were gracious, helpful in every way, and made us feel completely comfortable. The grounds are lovely too, beautifully landscaped beside a large vineyard. We all enjoyed sitting outdoors by the flowers and pool. The restaurant was excellent, and the central location made day trips around Provence easy. Between the owners, hotel, grounds, and location, it was a five-star experience.

We had a fantastic dinner, and breakfast was very good too, with a nice selection. The hotel and owners were lovely. The location worked really well for us, with a walking path by the river nearby and a winery close at hand. Our room was a good size, but it faced the road, so the noise kept us from opening the windows. I think it was room 17, and I believe room 15 may have the same issue. Try for a pool-facing room if you can, the view is lovely, with a vineyard beyond it.

We only stayed a day and wished we'd booked longer. The pool was great in the summer heat, though it closes at dinner time, 7 pm 👎. Dinner was really good: I had steak and my wife chose the fish. We were very pleased with the appetizers and dessert too. Highly recommend!
