The staff were courteous and the accommodation was okay overall. Still, cleanliness needs work. Some basic things were missing: no fridge in a suite room isn’t acceptable, and it was disappointing that slippers weren’t available.

The breakfast was appealing and delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The inside feels modern and cosy, while the hotel has an authentic look and atmosphere in the center of Cholet, next to an impressive cathedral. The rooms are spacious, though some extra light would make them easier to use. A few parts of the carpet could also use better care. I’d recommend it.

The room was modern and new, and breakfast was very nice. The hotel itself is okay, but there’s a lot of noise from nearby bars and restaurants. The toilet and bathroom are in separate rooms. There’s no free parking, and the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant.

The location is the one good thing here, though there’s also an IBIS BUDGET about 100m away. We had a horrible stay. We were a family of four and had booked a suite with a double bed and sofa bed, but when we arrived around midnight, they gave us a small privilege room on the corner of the first floor near the seafood restaurant. People there were singing and talking loudly, and we could still hear them with the window shut. I checked the booking and politely asked for the suite we’d paid for. The staff member on duty said the room was the best one and offered free beverages and a bathrobe. I said we had toddlers and didn’t care about those extras. We wanted the suite with a double bed and sofa bed. They had no suite available, so they gave us two small beds instead (see pictures). By morning, we all had bad rashes. Mine was the worst because I’d slept in a tiny nightgown. When we looked under the sheet, we were shocked to find dirty black dots like the ones you see with bed bugs (see picture). We told the staff and asked to move rooms. They reacted as though we were lying. But when we went to the drugstore across the street, their first response was, “ah so you slept at the hotel”. The next night, they said they’d MADE AN EXCEPTION and gave us a SUITE, as if we owed them for what we’d paid for in the first place. That room was clean and much bigger than the privilege room. If you paid for a SUITE, don’t take their PRIVILEGE ROOM. It’s not worth it.
