There’s a bakery in the village within walking distance for fresh croissants, and Givet has several big supermarkets. For cafes and restaurants, you’ll want to head to Givet or another larger town nearby. The area is great for walks and bike rides, with plenty of sights and lovely nature. From the cottage, cross the bridge to Petit Chooz to reach the forest trails for mountain biking, cycling, and hiking. Le Grain d'Amour, or “The Grain of Love,” sits by the Meuse River and feels cozy and romantic. Frédéric and Sophie are friendly and helpful. It’s a tastefully decorated, recently converted chicken coop with a “Love” theme, and it has everything you need for a great stay.

Even though I was there in March, I still remember that little house so fondly. It felt like stepping into a fairy tale, and I hope I can return soon. I loved the Jacuzzi, and the room full of plants with a pool table tucked away inside was pure magic. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Sophie gave us such a warm welcome, and the place is peaceful. The “Grain of Love” is really lovely and well worth discovering. A must-see, thank you!

Sophie, the owner, is fantastic, and the accommodation was clean and incredibly cozy. It’s a lovely spot to recharge, with nice walks along the Meuse River. Such a wonderful discovery.
