The low room rate made most of the drawbacks easier to accept. The bed was really comfortable, the shower was good, and the person who greeted us was friendly and helpful. The welcome was quite different at checkout, when they barely spoke or looked at us. The room was clean enough, though only just, and a few things like the shutters and bathroom fittings need attention. We paid for parking at the back, but the pedestrian gate reader was broken and reaching the parking meant walking around the building. The kitchenette fridge was so noisy I unplugged it. It’s basic accommodation close to the city centre.

If you need to be near Carmes, this works for a short stay, maybe a few nights. The room is very small, especially the kitchenette, and it isn’t well equipped. Even after housekeeping, there was no shower gel in the bathroom.

The price was good, and everything else about my stay was very good too. I needed help figuring out how things work in an aparthotel, and Kylian at reception was especially helpful. I had a very good experience here.

Superb value for the price, with a clean room and a nice breakfast. The staff were friendly and very helpful. It’s also well located, close to both the train station and the tram stop.

I stayed here for work and the location suited me really well. The rooms were very good, and the staff were always smiling, positive and helpful. I tried the laundry service once. It was practical and quite cheap compared with what I’d experienced elsewhere in the region. I’ll definitely come back and would strongly recommend the place if you’re visiting Clermont-Ferrand.
