The area is industrial, with a loud bar and nightclub in an odd spot next door on one side and what seemed to be an operating quarry on the other. Inside, the apartment smelled strongly of rotting animal. Reception staff were friendly and asked a technician to check it, but he poured bleach around the place, which covered the smell for about an hour before it came back. It was deeply unpleasant to spend time there. Most of the staff were friendly. At checkout, though, one person just held a finger up at me to make me quiet down and wait. After breakfast she had disappeared, so I left the keycard and went to work.

Aldi is about a five-minute walk away, beside a bakery, chemist, wine shop, and chocolate shop. McDonald's takes around ten minutes on foot. The location itself isn’t especially quiet. The apartments are basic but comfortable. The beds were good, and there’s a hob, fridge, and freezer, though no cooker. The shower is very small and there’s only one toilet, which isn’t ideal for a family or group.

I stayed at the Purpon BRANCH, and found it good compared with the colomeries branch. The room also needs a spray to freshen it up. There was no refill of dishwashing liquid or hand soap, and housekeeping wasn’t cleaning properly. Please leave extra bin liners and toilet cleaner so we can clean things ourselves. Putting up a notice about room maintenance just based on what housekeeping says isn’t right. Please explain the specific issues you found and properly check them before issuing a notice. I want to know exactly what wasn’t maintained.

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was really clean, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The Easter egg hunt was a great game!
