The rooms felt spacious, and the shower had great pressure. Dinner was good value, with tasty wine, and the new owners were warm and welcoming. The mattresses were comfortable, but the pillows were painfully thin. There was also a smell in my room when I arrived that was hard to put up with, and it lingered for all three days of our stay. The restaurant was quiet most of the time, though it was the off-season, so that wasn't too surprising.

The food is a real highlight, especially the homemade hamburger, and the owner and his partner cook it with care. It's a simple, family-friendly place, with a warm welcome that makes it easy to get to know the other guests. The old inn feels authentic, and everything fits that atmosphere. It's peaceful and restorative too, with no music, much like the surrounding region. The managers were especially friendly, which felt lovely. We'll be very happy to come back on our road trips through Cantal. Please keep it just as it is!

We've been to the inn twice, and both times it felt like home. Jean-Paul makes delicious local food with good-quality ingredients. The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean, and nicely decorated. It's also a handy base for flying with the geese, just 4 minutes from the airfield.
