At 6:50 PM we returned to the restaurant as agreed, only to hear the hostess tell a staff member to turn us away. She said it was full, even though we'd explained at 5:40 PM that we'd come back after food service began at 7:00 PM. We were a family of two adults and children aged 5 and 8, already hungry when we first asked politely for a table. We'd gone for a walk while waiting, which is no easy thing with hungry kids. The whole thing felt dismissive and unfriendly toward families. Clear communication and basic hospitality would have made a big difference. We can't recommend this restaurant, especially for families who need reliable and respectful treatment.

We stopped for lunch by pure chance and it was AMAZING. The spinach salad came with a generous amount of white truffle, the poultry was perfect, and the nut pie was awesome. Prices were very reasonable too. If you're passing through Comps, don't hesitate to stop for lunch!

In a TINY town, this is a quaint, old-fashioned classic hotel. The staff were really nice and accommodating. Our room had the essentials: a good-pressure shower, bathroom, comfortable beds and TV. There was no AC or fridge in our room.
