L'Auvaysou

We rented the cottage for 15 days at the end of July, and it suited us perfectly. It's peaceful and rural, with groceries a 10-minute drive away, local markets nearby, and hiking trails around. The cottage was spotless and had all the equipment we needed. Its location was ideal for exploring the region, and the owner was very helpful with good advice.

The owner was friendly and arrived at the time we requested, and the homemade pâté welcome gift was a nice touch. The cottage is peaceful, well laid out, and pleasant, with a lovely countryside setting. The terrace is especially nice early and late in the day, though it has no shade. Upstairs gets too hot, with no ventilation or fan. Cleaning needs more attention, with cobwebs on the dishes and microwave, and the lawn hadn't been mowed. The exposed electric fence wire is dangerous for children. Some repairs should have been done before the rental, including the lower-floor tiles and a bathroom leak. The owner's departure was rushed and delayed because of personal issues.

We stayed three nights in this small, quiet cottage and slept peacefully thanks to the comfortable, good-quality bedding. It's simple and comfortable, and we got a very warm welcome. Thank you!

A pleasant cottage that's well equipped and nicely renovated. The Aveyron has wide open spaces and plenty of little treasures to discover, including Conques, Bournazel, the Lot river, and Rodez with its cathedral.
