In 34 years, this is the first negative review I've written. I'll keep it brief. Our ferry ticket was pushed back by eight hours 30 hours before departure. The hotel only checks guests in until 6:30 pm, so three days ahead I asked if we could arrange a 8:30 pm arrival. I offered to pay extra or collect the keys somewhere myself. They just told me to “find a solution.” I ended up booking another hotel with self check-in. I then asked them not to charge the 50 euro no-show fee, since they'd offered no help with a late check-in and the ferry change wasn't my choice. They said no and applied the fee. Fifty euros won't change their lives or mine, but I tried calling and was willing to work something out. All I got was refusal and no consideration for the customer. Hospitality should be part of a hotel stay. I can't recommend this place.

The stairs up to the annex in Room 11 were wobbly and visibly slanted down to the right, which felt like a safety hazard. Breakfast was also a poor deal at €18 per person: just a few cold items, stale bread, and instant coffee. If that's all you're serving, don't charge hotel prices. We also gave them more than five hours' notice that our ferry was delayed, but they refused to let us check in after 8 pm. We offered to pay extra and explained we were travelling with two young children. We had to find somewhere else for that first night, yet they charged us the full rate. The business came across as unscrupulous, unprofessional, and unfriendly, possibly the worst we've encountered in our travels across Europe, America, and Asia. It could have been worse, I suppose: we noticed one room was in the middle of the parking lot.

I booked a fully refundable room and cancelled several weeks before the planned stay, but they still won't refund me. Terrible customer service. A horrible hotel.

The junior assistant at reception was friendly throughout, and this review is about the manager/owner alone. We arrived to find the toilet running; it was fixed within ten minutes. But after dinner, the whole room smelled of feces and sewage, apparently from a toilet that wasn't working properly. Staff didn't respond when we contacted them, so we had to leave the windows open and couldn't really use the bathroom. At checkout, when we raised the issue, the manager/owner accused us of making it up instead of apologizing or offering a refund. Her conduct felt unprofessional and unfriendly to guests. It was a very bad experience, made worse by the response.
