Hotel Carlina Courchevel

We had a family room, which was a big bonus for our large family. The team were warm, helpful, and friendly, and the ski shop and location were top notch. You can ski straight in and out, which made things easy with the kids, and town center is a short walk away. We'll definitely be back.

The hotel is a little tired, but we had a lovely stay and would come back. It has a central location, friendly staff, a good breakfast buffet, and a comfortable bar. The pool was great, with piste views and even a door out onto the snow for a quick refresh. I enjoyed half an hour of laps after skiing. For ski in, ski out, it's very well situated, with a choice of eggs and buttons a minute away on a gentle green run.

My stay at Hotel Carlina was appalling. The rooms were small, dirty, and unhygienic, the staff were rude and unhelpful, and the bar was dated and tired. Ski in, ski out was the only good thing. I've been to Courchevel 1850 over 30 times and never experienced anything this disgusting. A 5* rating is a joke. Avoid it, and don't use the concierge. They were totally useless and seemed to be paid to push certain venues. Management showed no interest in resolving problems. The hotel's response isn't true or accurate. The concierge made restaurant reservations but sent the confirmation to the wrong guest's email, so my lunch bookings were cancelled. They also told me the restaurant had agreed to refund €400 if we went there the next day, but the money was never returned. The hotel says it responded to calls and emails, but that isn't true, and I have proof. It took 3 weeks to respond to this review. I stayed at the hotel multiple times and will never return. Goodbye Hotel Carlina, and good luck. Disgraceful.

The Carlina has a gorgeous terrace where you can have a drink or lunch beside the slopes, and the ski room and team are fabulous. It's 100% ski in, ski out, right on the pistes at Courchevel 1850. The staff are first class, the bar and dining room are beautifully styled, and breakfast and dinner are both superb. Our traditional two room suite was quaint, cozy, comfortable, and had everything we needed. A truly wonderful hotel. We love the Carlina and its amazing team. Thanks again.
