The food was great, and the woman with reddish hair who served us all afternoon, along with the cook, were excellent. The rest of the experience was a mess. We booked well ahead for my parents-in-law’s birthday and invited a family, but from the booking onward we had to keep chasing things up. Luce never showed up, and it seemed nothing was being handled. We called repeatedly to make sure our requests were understood, then waited several days for the menu. We had to ask again and again for a few vegetarian dishes, but they were served like the others. My husband ordered two whole cakes and they arrived sliced. We’d also asked for guests to be able to swap dishes for something else on the menu, but everyone got the same thing. Each time, my poor husband had to get up and go to the kitchen to ask them to follow what we’d requested so many times. The staff were totally disorganized. The rest was dramatic. No way, I wouldn’t go there, especially for a celebration. A total waste of money.

The terrace was lovely on a Saturday evening, with a view of Mont Blanc. The food was delicious, the service excellent, and the atmosphere really nice. We’ll be back.

There’s a recently renovated dining room that adds a lot more seating, and it’s nicely fitted out, including good bathrooms. Families can use the playground in good weather, and the restaurant is open all seven days. It’s a well-known local spot with a lovely atmosphere and equally good local specialties. Service is usually quick and efficient. Definitely recommended.

The view across the Jura range is astonishing, especially from the terrace on a clear day, which makes for a more unusual visit. Inside, it’s a cosy, fairly spacious restaurant. The staff are very cordial, and there are a couple of Morgan 3 wheeler models parked out front, which add to the appeal.
