The view of Mont Blanc and the Alps from our room was spectacular, and the food was elegant and delicious. We stayed six days, which is longer than we usually spend in one place, and could happily have stayed longer. Everyone on staff was pleasant and helpful. The woman who cleaned our room went out of her way for us, and I hope she knows how much we appreciated it. Nothing to complain about, really, except that air conditioning would have been welcome on a few hot July nights. I know it’s not customary in that part of the country. We could open the huge windows easily, and there were no bugs.

We spent one night at Chateau de Divonne. It’s a beautiful hotel with a wonderful aristocratic French feel, and the employees helped us enjoy that atmosphere. The food was superb.
