The hosts made us feel at home right away, and even helped us get the car parked in the rain. The house was spotless, with towels and linens supplied. They were so kind and attentive, always around when we needed them. “Bel Accueil” really is a fitting name for this guesthouse.
For what it cost, I would have been better off staying in a hotel. The price ended up €15 higher than when I booked, and there was no key to lock the room, so privacy was poor. We got the keys at 5 PM and had to leave by 10 AM, which felt like very short notice. The place is badly insulated, so noises from the house carry, including the dog barking. Our room was dirty too, with dusty furniture and dust bunnies under the beds. I’d avoid it.
The food was delicious, and the place was clean, pleasant, and quiet. The dog was just as friendly as its owners, who gave us a very warm welcome. Great value for money. My family and I are hoping to come back very soon!
