We’d prepaid for one night, but the host wouldn’t accept us because we had children under 11. There hadn’t been any information about the children’s ages when we booked, and she refused to refund us. It was a horrible experience. I was very disappointed by the host and found the lack of understanding and empathy upsetting.

Even though I was traveling for work, the place felt like a vacation spot, with a really relaxing setting. We enjoyed exploring the local heritage, going for a leisurely walk and finding little places with chanterelle mushrooms. The omelet was delicious, and the tapas platter was excellent value. The chefs were genuinely talented, and both the accommodation and pool were top-notch, 10/10. Thanks again to both of you, you’re wonderful, and I hope you don’t change a thing!

We only spent one night, but we’ll definitely return for longer. The hosts were warm, attentive and welcoming, and breakfast was amazing, with delicious local products. It’s such a peaceful setting, just right for recharging.

Patricia and Hervé made our second stay in Douvilla full of lovely memories. We had wonderful moments with them, and they were so warm and attentive. The place itself is calm, welcoming and relaxing. Homemade breakfast and grilled food were a real treat. A little slice of paradise!
