La Maison D Amalaurille

After a long ride, the lovely house and garden were just the place to unwind, and there was secure parking for our motorbike. Our hosts were wonderful, as was the friendliest golden retriever in the world. They pointed us to a great local spot for dinner, and breakfast was fantastic too. We only spent one night here, but would happily recommend it. Thank you!

We ended up booking two nights at the last minute because of special circumstances. Danielle and Bernard welcomed us warmly to their lovely house in a quiet location just outside St. Gaudens. When we arrived on Sunday evening, everything in town was closed, so they kindly offered us a bottle of wine to go with the pizza we'd picked up in a rush. They're a thoughtful, caring couple who really look after their guests. The room was comfortable and well appointed, with excellent bedding, and breakfast was generous, varied, and full of good things, including dairy products, juice, and fresh fruit. Thanks for all the consideration. We highly recommend staying here.

Even with rain outside, Danièle and Bernard made our stay at Maison d'Amalaurille feel bright and relaxing. They were welcoming and gave us useful advice about the area, while the tasteful decor, quality furnishings, and spotless rooms made it feel like a comfortable home. The restored Comminges-style house is independent and inviting, set among a lush, well-kept flower garden. We were glad we found it at the last minute and would be delighted to come back.

We were two cyclists caught out in a storm and torrential rain, and our friendly, understanding hosts let us arrive well before the usual time. Even the dog came to greet us. We left after our brief stay feeling rested. A lovely house, and a good base for exploring the area.
