The food was expensive for what it was, and there was no atmosphere on a Friday evening. The hotel was said to be nearly empty, and the restaurant was deserted. I can see why. We were very disappointed and won’t return. We’d never have stayed longer if we’d booked more than one night. The room was cramped around the bed, with hardly any space, inadequate lighting and a broken light. There was no litter bin in the bedroom, no kettle and too few sockets. We had to take drinking glasses from the restaurant because we refused to use the paper cups. Thank goodness we only stayed one night. Terrible.

I stay here a few times each year and always have a good time. The restaurant food is good too!

The room was standard Ibis, and the hotel is outside town by a roundabout. We managed the walk into town in about 20 minutes to find something to eat, as the restaurant was closed in July. Breakfast was good, with cooked options, cheese, meat and fruit. At check-in I only met one staff member, who seemed like they didn’t want to be there. It’s fine if all you need is a bed for the night.

I’d read plenty of bad reviews, so I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, as was the hotel, and the staff were superb, friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little small but adequate. We ate there every night because we got back to the hotel late. The food was OK.
