The price was right, but the place was cheap and dirty.

There were only eight of us, five at our table and three at another, but the wait was still especially long. The portions are generous, though the pizza crust was too thick for me and made it feel heavy and cloying pretty quickly. The place has potential, but the decor feels dated, especially in the restrooms, which could use some renovation.

Valerie and Cynthia really went out of their way to make us happy. We had dinner with friends at Chez Valerie, and the welcome was warm, the staff friendly, and the dishes generous and excellent. Don’t let the bad reviews put you off, judge for yourself 😉. Well done to the whole restaurant team!
