JO&JOE Paris - Gentilly Hotel - Hostel

We’d especially like to thank Luka V for making our stay so memorable. He was kind, attentive, and understanding from the start, let us check in late without any trouble, and thought of little details that made us feel welcome and special. He clearly cares about his work and knows what good customer service looks like. We’d definitely stay again after the wonderful treatment we received. Highly recommended!

The only real issue was the shower area. With no window, visible mold can develop if it isn’t cleaned often enough. I’d suggest checking and cleaning the showers at least every other day. Otherwise, everything was great. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and although I didn’t spend much time at the bar, a DJ and lively crowd were there when I arrived. It seemed like a great way to meet people when traveling solo. I stayed at JO&JOE Paris Gentilly for two nights and had a great experience. It’s conveniently located for getting around Paris. I booked a capsule room and was surprised by how spacious it was, even bigger than a similar one I’d stayed in London. The key card for the capsule area and the extra lock on the door felt secure and were easier to manage than bringing my own lock. The bathroom was just across the hall, which was practical, and I loved the hostel’s design, with dark hallways, disco lighting, and art installations.

Breakfast was fresh and good, a nice way to start the day. The bar area was social and very nice, and a DJ played one evening, adding a great vibe without making things too noisy. I stayed in a shared dormitory at JO&JOE Paris Gentilly for 4 days and had a really pleasant time. It’s clean, well organized, and feels safe and relaxed. The staff were welcoming and polite, always ready to help with a smile. Comfortable, friendly, and a good atmosphere. I’d definitely come back.

I woke up with bed bug bites that got worse as the day went on. Luckily, they refunded me, so I could book a hotel for the one night I had left. The cabin I stayed in was semi-private and pretty nice for the price. There’s laundry space, and the restaurant and café area is a neat place to hang out and grab a bite. The staff, including Luca & Romane, gave excellent service and were really kind and helpful. It’s cute, and the people there are nice, but I won’t be returning because of the bed bugs.
