Domaine Les Martins

Domaine Les Martins was a magical place for our elopement. David and Regis were warm and attentive from the first emails. When we told them we were eloping, they were genuinely excited for us and so accommodating. The gardens and accommodation are stunning, with quiet corners to sit and relax. The long walkway through the middle, lined with lavender, felt like a dream. Our suite was beautifully decorated, with a grand piano, wonderful sheets, and the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Opening the windows to the gardens and distant mountains was pure bliss. There’s a weekly guest dinner in the garden beneath their magnificent fig tree. Because the property is small, the atmosphere felt intimate and relaxed, and it was a lovely chance to meet other guests. By chance, the dinner was on our arrival night. We’d travelled from Australia, were a bit dishevelled, and had got lost and run late. Regis immediately put us at ease, telling us to forget check-in, go to our room, and freshen up. When we joined everyone, drinks were waiting, so we could relax straight away. Dinner was wonderful, served with their own wine, made just down the road at a local winery. David and Regis helped us find the right spot for our vows, let our photographer and videographer film on the grounds without disturbing other guests, and made a nearby restaurant reservation so we could have champagne after the ceremony. For our last night, they arranged a private dinner under the fig tree. It was truly magical and unforgettable. Thank you, David and Regis, for making it so special. Domaine Les Martins will always mean a lot to us, and we can’t wait to come back one day.

We had a great stay in David and Regis’s dream of a home. So much thought has gone into the rooms, from their layouts and little trinkets to the recommendation books, and into touches like the weekly dinners for guests. We hope to visit again soon.

The rooms are lovely, with beautiful furniture inside centuries-old buildings. The whole experience, thoughtfully put together by David and Regis, makes you feel transported to another time, when life moves with the sun. A fabulous place in the Provence countryside.

We had a great time at DLM and got a real feel for Provence there. Regis and David were very attentive, and my husband and I were inspired by the story of how they built the place. I’d highly recommend staying here while exploring the nearby towns.
