The parking was hard to use, especially with a large car. It's extremely narrow, and construction materials were left lying around, taking up more space and making the area feel unwelcoming. We also waited more than 15 minutes after arriving while looking for someone at reception to check us in, which isn't acceptable for a hotel in this category. We were told our room had a partial sea view, but you could only see the sea by stepping onto the balcony and leaning far over the railing. That's not what most guests would expect from that description. The recent renovation is hard to miss for the wrong reasons: the paint and varnish smell was strong, and there were still lots of unfinished details even though we were told the work in our room had been completed several weeks earlier. The shower was particularly disappointing, with very weak water pressure that made it uncomfortable to use. At this price and four-star level, it doesn't currently meet the standards I associate with a Mercure property.

The beds and bathroom were excellent, and the service was fine. Breakfast was nice, and there was good, secure covered parking. The hotel is well placed for the beach, port, and town centre, although some parts of the rooms looked a little tired.

We had a brilliant weekend for the Granville Mardi Gras. The Mercure team were friendly and brilliant, and the hotel sits high on the cliffs with a great view over La Manche. I'd happily recommend it.

We paid about 130€ for one night with parking at the end of May. Parking cost 12€ per day. Our clean, fairly spacious room was on the first floor and had a cozy balcony, which felt unusual for France. There's also an entrance from the hotel to the sea promenade 😍 Max at reception was especially kind. He explained everything and suggested places to eat. Service from everyone was just perfect. Highly recommend!

Granville was a great place to visit, and we were very comfortable here. The views were great, the beds very comfortable, and the showers were good quality. We also liked the continental breakfast. Reception staff were helpful throughout. After we left, Max patiently helped sort out a credit card problem and the payment for our room. Sorry again for the mix-up, and I'm glad we got it resolved amicably.
