Bernadette was so generous, sweet, and attentive. We stayed just one night while visiting Grasse and nearby places, but it gave us a warm, authentic experience. Our “soleil” chambre was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the house is a typical provençal home, a bastide I think. The petit déjeuner was incredible, with something for everyone. Bernadette was thoughtful about my cow’s milk intolerance and had lots of lovely options for me. We left very full! We ate in the lovely garden, though there were a lot of mosquitos, so come prepared. This felt quite different from an ordinary hotel or “airbnb.” We got to talk with someone from Grasse who knew a lot about Provence and even the US. Bernadette’s recommendations were excellent. We ate at l'auberge provençal and visited Le Pays D'Audrey, a flower domain where we learned how flowers are used in food and perfume. My boyfriend and I highly recommend staying here. You won’t regret it! English and French spoken here :)

Bernadette and her husband gave us such a warm welcome and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Their house and room are beautifully decorated, and the peaceful place is full of flowers. After a hike or other sporting activity, coming back to the pleasant, lightly cool air felt wonderful. The atmosphere was friendly and family-like, and we loved the generous homemade breakfasts. Bernadette listened to our needs as people who eat organic products, and made seasonal recipes for athletes. We also talked with our hosts about our sporting and cultural outings, and got advice on hiking routes. Thanks again, we highly recommend this country house for a future holiday.

Breakfast was so good that we happily stayed in the garden afterward, talking with Bernadette. She made us feel comfortable in her home during the first four days of our Provence trip, and we even thought about coming back for one more night at the end. Her welcome was warm and generous, and we appreciated the stories, the glimpse into her everyday life, her advice, and especially all the smiles. She’s found a place in our hearts. We really hope to meet again.
