Rent4night Grenoble Europole

It’s quiet and well equipped, and the location is handy, right by the train station and about 15 minutes from the city center. The apartment was clean, though the air conditioning setup felt makeshift and stopped the window from opening. The TV didn’t work, and the sofa mattress had stains.

The building is showing its age and feels dated, but the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was excellent too.

The place has potential, which makes its poor upkeep such a shame. It was nothing like the listing we booked from, and the other guests’ reviews had influenced our decision. The dishes and appliances were so dirty we didn’t dare use them. The bedroom fan didn’t work, and the air conditioning in the main room leaked. With the apartment at 32 degrees Celsius, the owner told us to cut a cork and use it to stop the leak. He didn’t come by to check on us. I absolutely don’t recommend it.

The only real plus is being close to the train station. The building gets noisy with partygoers, and we felt the neighborhood was dangerous. Our car, parked on a side street, was partly burned in an arson attack. There had also recently been a shooting at the bar at the end of the street. I wouldn’t recommend this apartment.
