Logis Hôtel La Bastide de Grignan & Restaurant La Chênaie

Christophe and Tomas were wonderfully attentive, making sure everything we needed at the hotel, breakfast, or dinner was taken care of. Both meals were first-class. Our room was comfortable, with good bathroom toiletries and towels, a bed to suit our needs, and working air conditioning and Wi-Fi. There’s also a cozy little lounge just inside reception, furnished beautifully. Parking was ample and secure, which matters to us on a driving holiday. One small thing: I’d prefer the ashtrays outside to be less prominent in the lovely garden. Grignan is a characterful little town, about a 20-minute walk away depending on fitness and weather. It was our first stay at The Bastide, though we’d visited Grignan before, and we plan to return next year. We’re looking forward to Christophe and Tomas’s hospitality again, and wish them continued success.

The area is beautiful, the staff are super friendly, and the Wi-Fi is reliable. You can charge an electric vehicle here too. A very nice hotel, and I’ll definitely come back.

The lady at reception was really friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, quiet, clean, and in good condition, with complimentary bottled water for both of us, which I appreciated as a cyclist. My wife was pleased to find a decent hairdryer, and the Wi-Fi worked well without constant logins. There wasn’t a kettle or tea and coffee setup in the room, though that seems common in France. Breakfast was among the best we’ve had on this trip, with plenty of choice, including great jams and a selection of honey. It’s served in a lovely room that also functions as the restaurant. There’s a nice outdoor space and pool, and the hotel would make a good base for a few days exploring the area. It’s in a pleasant spot just off the main road, about a kilometre from town.

The hosts really went out of their way to help us settle in, starting with the warm, helpful lady at reception. We felt looked after from the moment we walked in. The hotel and rooms were excellent, and dinner was some of the best food we’ve had on our trip through Europe. I’d highly recommend it.
