Getting to our room with two huge suitcases was a real struggle, from the main street past the breakfast area, up two steep staircases and through tiny corridors. It must be even tougher in winter with heavy coats. But Room 5 was such a cute, pretty attic room, with lovely decorative touches that made it feel rustic and charming. That was my only real complaint.

The cash-only payment caught us by surprise, though there are two ATMs within about 150 meters, so it was manageable. We had a great dinner, with friendly, helpful staff and very good food. The burger was delicious and sturdy enough for even our 6-years-old to eat without it falling apart. We liked the fish and chips too, and the art on the walls gave the place a fun feel.

The Sunday Celtic jamming sessions are brilliant, and it's a lovely way for us English to spend time with the welcoming locals. There's a friendly atmosphere here, plus wonderful food, especially the Fish & Chips and the chocolate dessert, which is to die for. We'd definitely recommend coming for lunch or a good evening out.

Two older houses have been stylishly renovated with plenty of character and joined into a hotel and restaurant. There's seating in a small inner courtyard, too.
