The bedrooms are beautiful, and it’s a lovely hotel in an unspoilt part of France. It’s especially good for cyclists, with La Voie Verte running alongside the River Meuse: 80km of flat cycling on a road-free route. Host Julien brews his own beer and also promotes local produce.

Even with all that rain, you can sit somewhere dry, enjoy a tea, and have a nice home-brewed beer. There’s an amazing tree in the downhill garden, facing the beautiful Maas (La Meuse). Next time I’ll take more photos.

We had a delicious stay at this beautiful, peaceful place beside the river, and felt very welcome. It’s romantic, clean, and lovely, with the Ardennes’ quiet surroundings and scenery. The house is full of antiques, and breakfast was delicious, with local and homemade products. You can also ask Jean-Francois whether he’s serving dinner. We had a lovely meal with a beautiful view of the garden and river. You can tell this place is run with joy and dedication to making guests happy. My husband and I give it five stars!
