We had a peaceful, pleasant weekend in a lovely clean studio. The bed was very comfortable, and the secure underground parking was a real bonus. It’s about a five-minute walk to everything around the port and town center. Meals were available, and they were excellent.

I’m giving this two stars because the owner only mentioned the €20 COVID cleaning surcharge after we’d made a non-refundable booking. The cottage itself was lovely, well located near the town center, and even had parking. But seeing the dust made me wonder how this COVID cleaning had actually been done. I’m happy to support businesses affected by the pandemic, but this feels like taking advantage of COVID to make money, and that’s not right.

The setting is very quiet, and the Norman-style buildings have been modernized nicely. There’s secure underground parking, and it’s about a 10-minute walk to Honfleur town centre and the marina. Carrefour Market is only a two-minute walk away.

Having an underground parking space is a real bonus, since parking is paid and hard to find. The residence is well placed, close to shops and about 10 minutes from the port. It’s very quiet, apart from the rave parties that Honfleur residents say are held monthly.
