Les Petunias

The beds and bedding were perfect, and the breakfasts were delicious. We also really valued the owners' kindness, their helpful tips, and the conversations we had with them. The house sits in a calm area, with a beautiful garden, and we were greeted so warmly. We were lucky to spend three nights here and hope to come back someday.

Breakfast on a crisp May morning was a treat, with homemade products our hostess had clearly taken care to make delicious. We also loved warming up by the wood-burning stove. We only stayed one night, but the place was charming, spotless, and wonderfully peaceful, and we were made to feel very welcome. We'd love to return, and highly recommend it.

We had dinner here on all three evenings, and the dishes were very tasty. For €25 per person, it was a four-course meal with an amuse-bouche, plus one bottle of wine per couple. Beer and any extra wine cost more. The hosts were very friendly, and breakfast was very good by French standards, with homemade yogurt and jams. The quiet setting and pool were especially welcome in the heat. The studio's double bed is only about 1.4-1.5 meters wide, which felt a bit too small for us. Its bathroom is under 1 meter wide and 4-5 meters long, so it wasn't easy to use. Replacing the bed should be straightforward, but the bathroom probably can't be adapted.

We were in town with our band to play music at a wedding reception. Since I live in Strasbourg, I stayed the night before driving back to Alsace. The couple gave us a warm welcome, and I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the outdoor pool.
