Ferme de Savigny

After touring the American landing sites in Normandy all day, it was lovely to relax in the garden and by the pool. We felt so well looked after. This was our second visit, 15 years after the first, and we were really happy to stay here again. The location is great for touring the area. I hope to come back.

We stayed just one night in the large suite, which felt so cozy throughout our visit. The high ceiling and beams were fabulous, and it was beautifully decorated, with a great shower and WC. Breakfast was delicious and the host was really friendly. The guesthouse is excellently located. I’d highly recommend it.

The rooms have heating, which was great on chilly nights, though the bathroom and toilet were in the corridor. The old buildings are full of history and well kept, and the interior has a charming, almost museum-like feel with care put into the details. Outside was lovely too. We spent one night at this beautiful, affordable farm, enjoyed an excellent breakfast, and felt like kings. What great hosts, and what a cutie dog! Thanks so much for your kindness and hospitality.

Breakfast was perfect, with croissants, bread, cheese, ham, yogurt, juice, homemade madeleines, fresh fruit, jellies, and coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. Our two rooms were spacious, clean, and each had its own bathroom and shower. The farm and garden are beautiful, with a few sheep in the field adding to the charm. There’s a pool and jacuzzi. The pool was closed in March, but the jacuzzi was open. The hosts were wonderful. They booked a local restaurant for us, told us about the farm’s history, and were happy to help with anything. The countryside drive to the WW2 sites was easy and beautiful. We loved our time there and only wish we’d stayed longer. We’ll definitely stay again if we return to Normandy.
