The owner-manager was fantastic, super friendly, and very helpful. We had a clean, bright room that was really quiet at night, even though the Europ Hotel is right in the centre of La Gacilly. It’s far enough from the bars and restaurants to sleep well. The room was a little old fashioned, but we’d asked for a baby bed and it was ready when we arrived. Breakfast was mostly pastries, and they were lovely. We chose the hotel for its location, and if we’re back in this part of Morbihan, we’ll book here again.

We stayed for two nights in this simple, modest hotel in the heart of La Gacilly. Our room was large, with a separate bathroom, and breakfast was very good. There’s free parking right outside, too. Best of all, pets stay free. We were so pleased our Labrador could come along, since nearly 95% of Airbnbs refuse large dogs. Thanks for the warm welcome and all the smiles! 😃

It’s a bit different from a typical hotel, and at this price I’d highly recommend it to anyone on a budget. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m in the area. This was my second visit, and the hotel is so central for the photography festival. It’s still somewhat dated, with thin walls and a slight musty smell on the ground floor, as you’d expect in an older building that hasn’t been renovated. My room was large and clean, though, and the location is excellent. It’s also handy for tourists with bicycles, and there’s a large public car park. The staff are friendly and the value is unbeatable. The room was €58 and breakfast €10. Breakfast was standard, but the tea was good and the brioche and jams were excellent.
