The bathroom was dirty, the heater didn’t work, and the shower flooded every time. There may be a leak somewhere. We got one tiny bar of soap, no shampoo, and only two rolls of toilet paper. Towels and toilet paper were provided just once a week. There’s no hair dryer in the room. You have to ask for one, and they said it would need to be returned so someone else could use it. Really, they can’t supply one in each room? The kitchenette was grimy too. The pots were old and rusty, and the counters felt greasy. I spent an hour scrubbing the small counter, but the rag came away brown each time. The fridge shelves were broken, leaving little room for anything. The room itself was dirty. When the maid came in, I was there, and all she did was change the sheets and take out the garbage after we’d been there a week. We were staying another week, so I asked downstairs for the room to be cleaned. They told me the maid would be back next week. There were cobwebs in the corners and on the floor. It felt like the floor might get cleaned once a year. Don’t look under the bed unless you have a strong stomach.

The location is great, with a 10-15 minute walk to the city center and 5-10 minutes to the beach. The rooms were clean and just as described, and the receptionist was very nice, spoke English, and was helpful.

I was really let down by how the hotel dealt with my booking change request. They said they were full for May, but when I looked into it further, that didn’t seem to be true. It felt like they were using that as a reason to refuse the change and keep the full payment. My situation was outside my control, but they offered no partial refund or consideration. I got brief, vague replies and then nothing. The lack of openness and willingness to help a customer in a difficult situation was unacceptable. I’d urge anyone considering a stay to be careful about the policies and customer service.

It’s basic but clean and fine for a short stay. The location is handy, roughly a twenty-minute walk from both Plage de Minimes and the Old Port.

The bedbugs on the wall behind the headboard and on my pillow were the last straw. There were cobwebs, a clogged shower, stains on the floor that might have been blood, stains on the sheets, and sticky floors that felt like a nightclub. The toilet was stuck and ran all night, and the heater was broken. Quite an experience. The very definition of hell.
