Domaine de Pladuc

We loved the spacious, comfortable rooms and their thoughtful decor, as well as the beautiful mansion and its garden and park. The pool was great, too. The owners are so friendly and give you personal attention, and the cooking is delicious. We recommend staying with Shandra and Bernard when visiting the Charente. We only had one night there at the end of our holiday, but it's an experience we'll remember for a long time. We were just passing through and needed somewhere to sleep, then found a beautiful place with a pool and lovely, spacious rooms. The hosts made us feel completely at home, and we were invited to dinner. The ‘cuisine Réunionnaise’ was a very pleasant surprise. We really wish we could've stayed longer. Huge thumbs up, and we'll definitely come back for a longer visit.

The large dining room was where we enjoyed hearty breakfasts and, with the half-board option, Reunionese cuisine. We stayed four days at Domaine du Pladuc with a group of friends. The couple running the place were completely attentive to their guests, Réunionese who have become more Charentais than the locals. The magnificent bastide sits in a bucolic park with a river running through it. It's a peaceful spot and well placed for visiting tourist attractions.
