Chateau L'Orangerie

The grounds were a pleasure to explore, and the well-kept pool was a nice extra. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and breakfast kept us going. Chris's homemade bread and muffins were a particular treat, and dinner was delicious too. Barbara and Chris greeted us so warmly that we felt at ease straight away in their beautiful château. We first stayed one night while heading south, enjoyed it enough to book two more nights on our way back north. We'd gladly return and recommend this special place.

Chris made us a fantastic three-course dinner when we arrived, and breakfast was just as good. The food was so delicious I'm feeling it at my waistband! We slept well in a very comfortable bed, and even had a bathroom in a turret. Barbara and Chris are warm, helpful hosts who clearly know the area and their work. Their gardens are lovely too. This was a perfect break on our journey from the southwest toward Brittany, and we'd love to see the gardens in another season. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We felt so welcome here and were treated with real warmth. It was the coziest place we stayed during our time in France, even though we moved around a lot. The château sits somewhere peaceful, with a lovely pool area where we could chat with the other guests. A short drive takes you to charming towns for sightseeing and cute restaurants. You can book dinner at the château too, and Chef Chris served us an amazing meal in the beautiful downstairs area. I'd definitely come back!

The garden has plenty of spots to sit and unwind, and the pool makes it even better. Barbara and Chris made us feel right at home in their chateau. Breakfast was fantastic, especially the homemade bread, and Chris cooked phenomenal food in the evening. Nearly all the vegetables came from their own garden, looked after by Barbara's sister Debbi.
