Pierre is thoughtful and attentive while still giving you space. The charming little cabin sits surrounded by nature, and it feels like a cozy place to unwind in any weather. I loved reading by the round window, looking out at the landscape, with a little cushion there for comfort. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the small shower and toilet area are basic but more than adequate. It’s great that dogs are welcome, too. Breakfast outside in good weather or indoors when it rains is a treat. Pierre’s observatory is a magnificent little gem.

The walk down a small path to the banks of the Lot River is peaceful, and this gîte makes a great base for seeing medieval towns or taking a break from city life. Pierre is welcoming but discreet, and can suggest restaurants in nearby towns since there’s no kitchenette. Breakfast can be served indoors or outside, and pets are welcome. The room has a shower room and a separate toilet. I especially loved the large porthole across from the bed, with its view of the forest, along with the wood and stonework. It’s a wonderfully peaceful place surrounded by nature.

I’ve stayed in several cabins because I’m such a fan of them, and this was easily my best stay in France. The place is magnificent and unlike the others, with art and sensitivity everywhere. Pierre was a very attentive host. If you’re after a different, unique experience, I recommend it 100%. Thank you so much.

Surrounded by nature, this one-of-a-kind cottage is made entirely of wood. Pierre greets you with a smile, and the breakfast is both delicious and generous. I recommend it 200%!
