I wouldn’t stay here again. The worst part of my Paris trip was this hotel: the old carpet had damp marks, the shower had nasty black spots between the tiles, the internet was extremely slow and only worked near reception, and there was no AC. The €8 breakfast was poor quality and very limited. For €1 more, the nearby Campanile Hotel, just a few meters away, serves a decent breakfast. To me, the difference is worth it. The receptionists were friendly and helpful, though that’s often the case.

The reception staff were some of the most helpful and honest I’ve come across. They were humble and did their best to make our stay comfortable. I stayed with two young kids and enjoyed their hospitality. For the price, the location is excellent, with Porte d'italie metro station a 5-7 minute walk away. This is a low-cost hotel, so I didn’t expect five-star facilities. You pay for bed and breakfast, and that’s what you get.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Give French a try when you speak with them, even if yours is terrible; they appreciate the effort. It’s a cheap, basic place without frills. Tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms would be useful, but otherwise it was not bad.

The service was awful, and they demanded that we pay “city taxes” for reasons we didn’t know. On the first night they moved us between three different rooms. We ended up sleeping in separate beds instead of a double, without pillowcases. The hotel is also far from the city center, and the metro is a 10-minute walk away. There was a problem every night we stayed. Stay away!
