We only ate at the hotel's restaurant, which is conveniently close to the center of Les Rousses. The Fondue Royale was very good, and the service was friendly. They even offered us another helping of red wine for free. A good place to eat.

Our car broke down on the way to Beaufort, a small village about an hour from Annecy, and after it was taken to the village garage, we spent the night here. The rooms were pretty good, and the service was great. We didn't really do much there, but the location looked good. A good experience in the middle of an otherwise rough situation.

The room was basic, with a standard bed and nothing wrong with it. I had a bathroom with a bathtub, too. The hotel did what it needed to, but it felt too expensive for what you got, perhaps because it's a tourist town. I wondered why the price wasn't lower in summer, outside ski season. The bathroom corridor door wouldn't close, which was annoying, though not a major obstacle. My window faced a playground or schoolyard, so it got noisy during the day, but was quiet at night.
