The toilet was squeezed into a closet-sized room, separate from the sink and shower, which felt uncomfortably tight. The shower and tub were in another room with no enclosure, so water sprayed everywhere. There was no air conditioning, just a fan. I’ve been contributing to Trip Advisor for a long time, with nearly 500 posts, and I try to be honest and positive. I can’t recommend this place because of what felt like dishonesty. We paid our bill in cash when we checked in late in the day. As soon as the woman behind the counter took the money, she told us to follow her. We hadn’t realized we didn’t have a receipt, and quickly went with her to see the room. She handed us the key and left. The next morning we had the advertised petit breakfast at 5 Euro each. At checkout, she said we hadn’t paid for the room. We had no receipt, but my wife knows we paid, and we’d withdrawn cash at an ATM earlier so we knew exactly how much we had on hand. The proprietor insisted we hadn’t paid, and we paid again. Then the bill charged 18 instead of 10 Euro for that morning’s breakfast, the highest price. My wife pointed it out, and the woman gave her 4 Euro back, still short. She walked away, then the proprietor gave her the correct amount after being called back. Three scams in one morning!

The room was very, very clean, and we didn’t really need air conditioning, even though it was mid-August. Breakfast was good, but the choice was quite limited. The owner brought out a set amount of food she had chosen, so there was no buffet to pick from. There aren’t many hotels around.

There are lots of places to eat right nearby, and the location is fantastic. The hotel could use some updating, though, and it may not suit older visitors since there’s no lift up to the bedrooms.

Great view and a very central spot, and the bed was comfortable. The rooms were small, the breakfast very basic, and check-in hours limited. The pipes were blocked and there was no Wi-Fi.
