Dear Lisa, meeting you at Campanile was a real relief. You were friendly, smiling, and fluent in English, and you made me feel at home as soon as I arrived. I've been travelling around France and staying in lots of different hotels, where it can be hard to communicate in English at reception. Thank you for your warm, professional welcome and kindness. It really made a difference to my stay, and I appreciated the excellent service.

The room was clean, but the bathroom left a lot to be desired, which is why I marked it down. I did appreciate having food and drinks on site, and there was space to walk around after being cooped up in the car. It's fine for a night, the price is right, and it's still worth a stop.

The bathroom was clean, but there were bugs all over the ceiling. The rest of the room was disgusting, with live and squashed mosquitoes everywhere and spider webs in every corner. I doubt it ever gets cleaned. There was hardly any light, and the pictures online can't be trusted. If mosquitoes are attracted to you, I wouldn't stay here.

We were three friends, and I asked for three separate beds. Instead, the room had two beds plus a smaller lower bed that pulled out from underneath one of them. There wasn't a pillow for that third bed, and I wasn't given one. There were no towels either. At the front desk, they said a group had stolen the towels a week earlier and apologized, but said they had none to give us. The most disastrous hotel I've ever stayed in.
