The communication with Julliette, the landlord, was direct, pleasant, and clear. We spent two nights here in mid-April and had a pleasant stay. The apartment is practically furnished and very clean, right in the center of Lille among restaurants, terraces, and sights. There’s also a good parking garage almost under the hotel. The linens and towels were good quality, and the room and communal areas were clean. Use of the washing machine in the communal area is free, and the place is close to Lille town-Center. That’s about the end of the good points. From my perspective, the rooms should fit one person at most, not two. Even for one person, the value for money isn’t good compared with other Airbnb options near Lille Centre. The water quality also seems worse than in other buildings and apartments in the area. Tap water doesn’t taste potable, and it’s hard to wash soap off your hands. People living rough in the area often use the small road outside the front door as a toilet, even in the middle of the day. Communication with Mrs. Juliette wasn’t as good as I’d expected. When I asked about parking, she said the nearest lot, Effia, cost 8Euros per day. At check-in, I asked again where to park, and was again directed to EFFIA at 8 Euros per day. She didn’t mention or explain that she had a special promo-discount to give us. That was a major slip, costing us the equivalent of +(1-2) days of accommodation, and she didn’t offer to cover it in any way. Conclusion: AVOID.

Juliette gave us a very warm welcome, and communication before arrival was smooth. The apartment is pleasant and well equipped, in a great spot for a Lille visit or business trip. Train stations, public transport, bike-sharing, and trams are all nearby, along with plenty of great restaurants and lovely shops to discover. I’d happily come back for a weekend away or a work trip. Thanks for everything.

The apartment has been fully renovated and comes equipped with kitchen utensils, a microwave, hairdryer, TV, and so on. I stayed five days in January, and the central location couldn’t be better. Everything was perfect! I recommend it 100%. You won’t find better.
