The bathroom was a bit cramped, though the room itself was comfortable. Reception staff were pleasant and very helpful, and the hotel is well placed for visiting Limoges. It doesn’t claim to be five-star, and for what we paid, it was good value.

The staff were excellent, and the bathroom had a fantastic shower, which really matters! Rooms are small but modern and good value, and the location is great, about a 6-minute walk from the location. There’s a great Irish pub across the road, too!

The smell was the worst part, and I’d shut the place down immediately if I were a health inspector. The room was dusty all over, the carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks, and there was no air conditioning. Flushing the toilet made water splash out of the sink drain and across the bathroom walls. The shower was tiny, with nowhere to move or put shampoo, and the wall dispenser was empty when we arrived and stayed that way. There were rusty nails on the bathroom handle, so make sure your tetanus shot is up to date. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in!

We just needed somewhere decent to sleep, and this worked perfectly for the price. Cafes, restaurants, sights and the old town are all within walking distance. It covers the basics and is good value.

The room was fine for an overnight stay, and I didn’t hear any street noise. Great location, and the front desk staff were very friendly. :)
