Customer service got back to me quickly when I had a question before the stay. The place was very clean, the rooms were large, and the facilities in the room were great. My little girl was perfectly comfortable on the sofa bed. It’s a great place to stay, just a 5-minute walk from the central square. I’d definitely recommend it and come back.

We booked three rooms at Gogaille at 4 Rue de la Prefecture, along with a shared living room and kitchen. Everything looked promising online, but this turned into one of the most horrible accommodation experiences we’ve had on holiday. We arrived late, knowing there’d be no reception and that check-in was by phone. After opening the outside door and two of our three room doors, we couldn’t unlock the third. The service team remotely opened it after a few minutes on the phone. Just before midnight, seconds after the door opened and before we entered or switched on the lights, we heard a voice inside. We shut the door, and someone immediately ran in and locked it from inside. Another person was staying in the room we’d booked, and the Gogaille team had just remotely unlocked it for us. It was shocking for us and for the person inside, whose door had been opened to strangers at midnight. We called again, explained what happened, and were told to go to their other hotel, Gambetta. So we took our suitcases back to the parking area where we’d left our cars, a 10-minute walk away, paid for the parking, and went to the other hotel. Then we had to call again to arrange our rooms. Following the phone instructions, we found that one of the new rooms they suggested was already unlocked and completely unprepared. Once we agreed on three different rooms, we went down to the shared kitchen for a glass of wine and a chance to calm down. The bread and croissants meant for breakfast the next morning were left uncovered and covered in flies and other insects. We took a video showing every detail. Later, when we went back upstairs to sleep, we couldn’t unlock one of the doors again. We called the service team AGAIN at 3am. They remotely unlocked it without any real security check, not even asking for a name. After all this, we felt completely unsafe and moved furniture behind our closed room doors so no one could get in while we slept. We asked for a refund or compensation for the awful inconvenience, but everyone we’ve spoken to by chat or phone keeps saying they’ll discuss it with their manager. Despite our repeated follow-ups, there’s been no update. I’d suggest finding somewhere else to stay.

Clean, with an easy check-in and a safe way to come and go. Breakfast was good, too. The location is great in central Limoges. It suits a short stay if you want something straightforward and like doing your own thing.

We loved staying here. The rooms were amazing, stylish and practical, and breakfast was great for a simple start to the day. There was also a fabulous terrace where we could sit in the sun.
